The Kappa Youth & Community Foundation funds scholarships awarded to male students who plan to attend a college or university. Gaithersburg-Rockville area male high school seniors can apply. Each applicant is thoroughly reviewed and evaluated on their high school transcripts, personal statement, future goals and motivation to “Achieve”. The top Scholarship recipients who are selected are recognized at the annual Gaithersburg-Rockville Alumni Chapter’s Scholarship Dinner.

To be eligible for this award the applicants must:

  • Must be a high school graduating senior or GED recipient and has been accepted to college as a full time student and will be enrolled for the next semester.
  • Must have a minimum 2.5 cumulative grade point average.
  • Should be active in extra-curricular activities or work related activity.
  • Must be a male student of color living in Montgomery County.

The 2022-2023 KYCF Scholarship application can only be submitted on-line this year. No paper application or correspondence will be accepted via U.S. postal mail. All required support documents must be uploaded via the application before May 10, 2022
